Picture America Contest "Capture the essence of our country"

USA TODAY and DiscoverAmerica.com invite you to enter the Picture America Contest for a chance to win four nights in Las Vegas, New Orleans or Orlando. From amateurs to professional photographers, we ask you to serve as unofficial U.S. ambassadors by submitting iconic images of America that will attract foreign visitors to the USA. The photos will be displayed on DiscoverAmerica.com, the first-ever U.S. travel and tourism site that promotes the country to a foreign audience, as well as on USATODAY.com. Join our search for extraordinary photos by submitting your images that best represent our nation -- its people, natural beauty or traditions.

You could be one of the 10 finalists chosen by three judges to have your photo featured online at pictureamerica.usatoday.com.

Vote for your favorite photo and the three entries with the most votes will be the prize winners.

Winners will be announced the week of June 22, 2009 on pictureamerica.usatoday.com, and will be published in USA TODAY on June 26, 2009.

Prize winners will receive:

Four (4) night double-occupancy hotel accommodations at one of three destinations:

Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas

Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans

Regal Sun Resort in Orland

One (1) $500 American Express Gift card

In addition to the above prizes, the First Place Winner will also receive:

Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Picture America Contest (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 21 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of USA TODAY, Gannett Co., Inc., U.S. Travel Association, Travelocity, Planet Hollywood Resort, Hotel Monteleone, Regal Sun Resort and each of their respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win.
