‘‘Take a view’ annual photographic competition

‘Take a view’ is an annual photographic competition open to everyone except those involved in its organisation and employees of the sponsors and Light & Land Ltd. The owners of the competition are Lightworx Ltd t/a Take a view.

HOW TO ENTER

Take a view is divided into two main sections, the Landscape Photographer of the Year Award and the Young Landscape Photographer of the Year Award, the latter being for those who are 16 and under on the closing date of 15th July 2009. To enter your images, you have to use the image uploader on the website and the payment of entry fees is by credit/debit card. This does mean that the fees for anyone aged 16 and under must be paid by a parent or guardian and payment is seen as granting permission for an entry to be made.

There are four categories within each of the two sections and up to 15 images per person may be entered across the categories.

There are 4 adult categories:

Phone view

There are four categories for those aged 16 and under on 15th July 2009:

Adult entry fees

Up to 1 image: £7.00
Up to 5 images: £15.00
Up to 10 images: £20.00
Up to 15 images: £25.00

Youth entry fees (16 & under on 15th July 2009)

Up to 15 images: flat rate of £2.00

By submitting images to Take a view, each entrant confirms and warrants that:

a) they are the sole author of each entry and that it is their original work;
b) they own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of each image;
c) they have the permission of those pictured in the image (or, where the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent/guardian) for the usage rights required by Take a view in #16 and will indemnify Take a view against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement;
d) they have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the image that would conflict with uses to be made by Take a view (see #16 ); and
e) they have received any necessary permissions from the owner(s) of buildings included in submitted images for the usage rights required by Take a view in #16 and will indemnify Take a view against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement.
